Year 9 Photography Assessment -
Part 1 - Choose approximately 5 photographs from a large collection of 4 x 6 prints. Photograph the group of pictures you have chosen and to your website. Explain why you chose these images. (20 minutes)
I chose these photos because I think it is how long I looked at them which is important. The photos that were odd and hard to conclude were more interesting. For example the image in the bottom left I looked at the most because I was trying to infer what it was however later concluded it was possibly the inside of a tin.
Part 2 - Place each photograph in a new location (somewhere in school) and re-photograph it 3 or 4 times. You should end up with about 20 photographs. Add these to a new Gallery on your Edges page. (30 minutes)
*Go to 'Edges' Page for pictures*
When making this sculpture I considered depth and shapes relating to the theme for example I cut a triangle in the sign that said "water" and having that as part of the sculpture.
When making this Photograph I used a stock image of the school concourse and used the "Polygonal Lasso" tool to cut out the image of my sculpture and positioned it in a more realistic location of the concourse.
I then used the "Brush Tool" in "Black" "25% Opacity" to create shadows on the floor and the left edge of the sculpture to make it look more realistic.
